Junior to Mid-Level Environmental Engineer/ Scientist/ Geologist

As we continue to grow in 2025, we are adding an additional Junior to Mid-level Engineer to our Environmental Engineering Team based out of our South Hackensack, NJ office. This Engineer or Scientist will provide support to Boswell’s Licensed Site Remediation Professionals (LSRP) and Project Managers.

This Engineer or Scientist will provide support to Boswell’s Licensed Site Remediation Professionals (LSRP) and Project Managers.
Responsibilities
- Perform Preliminary Assessments (PA), Site & Remedial Investigations (SI/RI), Receptor Evaluations, Vapor Intrusion (VI) Surveys, and Remedial Actions (RA)
- Professionally oversee and direct drillers and excavators during environmental investigations
- Perform multi-media sampling (soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, and air)
- Analyze and interpret environmental data, including soil and groundwater samples
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation for regulatory submission
- Upload environmental reporting through NJDEP Online
- Collaborate with engineers and LSRPs as needed; and,
- Remain current with NJDEP environmental laws and regulations
- Bachelor Degree in Environmental Engineering, Science, Biology, Chemistry, Geology or closely related
- 2 - 5 years of experience in environmental assessment, investigation, monitoring and remediation.
- Knowledge of NJDEP Site Remediation Program (SRP) regulations
- Proven ability to analyze data and present findings in a clear, concise manner
- Strong computer proficiency
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification
- Experience with GIS and environmental modeling software
- Expert training & mentoring by Senior licensed PEs and our all new Boswell Academy
