Bot Auto is revolutionizing the transportation industry with autonomous trucking technology. We're seeking a Director of Marketing & Communications who will work directly with our Founder / CEO to refine and amplify our vision, translating core messages into compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences.

Key Responsibilities

Major Responsibilities

1. Brand Management & Strategic Narrative

  • Maintain consistent brand identity and messaging across all channels based on executive vision
  • Refine and amplify Bot Auto's differentiators and core messaging
  • Apply first principles thinking to our marketing approach, challenging industry conventions when necessary
  • Develop appropriate messaging tracks for different stakeholders (customers, OEMs, investors)

2. PR & Media Relations

  • Maximize the impact of internally generated content by delivering through effective channels
  • Identify and target appropriate audiences for different types of messaging
  • Build relationships with key media outlets and industry journalists
  • Manage company communications during key announcements and milestones
  • Implement crisis communication plans and protocols
  • 3. Thought Leadership Amplification

  • Create opportunities to showcase Bot Auto's innovative approach and industry leadership
  • Refine and amplify thought leadership content from the CEO and technical leaders
  • Secure speaking opportunities at relevant industry events and conferences
  • Position the company as forward-thinking leaders in the autonomous trucking space
  • 4. Content Creation & Storytelling

  • Translate technical achievements and executive insights into accessible stories
  • Create materials that address various stakeholders (investors, logistics companies, public)
  • Oversee creation of high-quality video content and graphic design assets
  • 5. Digital Presence & Website Management

  • Enhance Bot Auto's digital footprint through professional website and social media
  • Execute strategic social media plan for industry engagement and thought leadership
  • Ensure all digital channels effectively communicate our latest developments and vision
  • Additional Responsibilities

    1. Strategic Planning & Analytics

  • Establish and track KPIs to measure marketing effectiveness and ROI
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activities, and customer feedback
  • Make data-driven decisions to refine marketing tactics
  • Implement and manage relevant marketing tools and platforms to optimize campaign performance
  • 2. Vendor / Project Management and Budgeting

  • Manage marketing budget effectively and track ROI
  • Select and oversee external vendors and agencies
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget constraints
  • 3. Event Management

  • Plan and execute participation in industry events and conferences
  • Represent Bot Auto at forums to build brand awareness
  • 4. Internal Communications

  • Share and reinforce internal stories that align with company vision
  • Support team cohesion through effective messaging
  • Qualifications

    Required Qualifications

    Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field; Master's preferred
  • 8 years of experience in marketing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Proven track record of executing successful B2B marketing strategies
  • Core Skills

  • Excellence in writing and persuasion with demonstrated storytelling ability
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, media relations, and content strategy
  • Proficiency with modern LLM tools to increase productivity
  • Ability to analyze public sentiment and outperforming other partners in the company in identifying communication opportunities and risks
  • Mindset & Approach

  • Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach and a creative mindset
  • Willingness to challenge conventional thinking and apply first principles reasoning

  • Experience in technology marketing, particularly in emerging technologies
  • Understanding of autonomous vehicle technology or transportation industry
  • Experience building a brand from an early stage
  • Track record of successful PR campaigns and media placements
  • Experience translating complex technical concepts for diverse audiences
