POSITION SUMMARY
As a Relationship Manager Assistant, you will provide support to the Commercial Relationship Managers and Portfolio Managers in the day-to-day administration of individual loan portfolios and deposit relationships. You will work directly with Relationship Managers, Portfolio Managers, clients and attorneys to process loans for closings. You will work directly with clients on service issues and daily account maintenance issues. The Relationship Manager Assistant will also track and collect exception items and work with the relationship manager on monitoring payment status of each individual portfolio. This role is highly visible in the Bank and requires a high level of professionalism and self-awareness. In this role, you are required to be extremely flexible to meet the overall demands of the department and ultimately the Bank.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Two years of related experience and/or training preferred
- Experience in completing commercial real estate documents preferred

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Loan Preparation and Maintenance
- Provide support to commercial Relationship Managers on a daily basis with administration of their individual loan portfolio
- May assist Relationship Managers in the preparation of loan approval documents
- Accurately order attorney work and coordinate loan closings
- Complete pre-loan preparation as outlined on Commercial Loan Checklists
- Complete loan closing preparation with accurately prepared and reviewed loan documents
- Attend loan closings as needed
- Provide notary services
- Monitor loans on an ongoing basis
- Assist clients with service and maintenance issues as needed for the loan relationship
- Track and collect exception items
- Coordinate the monitoring of payment status of a portfolio with the respective relationship manager
- Provide loan payoffs as requested
Deposit Relationship Management and Maintenance
- Open business and consumer checking accounts according to the guidelines outlined in the New Accounts Manual
- Accurately create and maintenance RMS records
- Track and validate checking account packets in TREEV
- Order products as needed on checking accounts including checks, debit cards, and online banking
- Assist Relationship Managers with tracking daily overdrafts
- Assist clients as needed with the changing or maintenance of signers on current business accounts
- Assist clients with service issues as needed for wire transfers, stop payments and account transfers
- Perform dormant account maintenance
- Prepare business online banking documents
- Provide customer support for Remote Deposit, online banking, and ACH products
- Establish a professional presence in the community as a representative of the bank
- Maintain a professional appearance and dress and abide by the dress code
Additional Duties
- Serve as the office/department first point of contact by greeting visitors, welcoming and directing them appropriately
- Notify company personnel of visitor arrival
- Proactively offer and accept messages as appropriate and deliver to recipient in a timely manner
- Maintain a safe, clean and presentable reception area
- The RM, PM, & RMA work together as a team in scheduling time out of the office to ensure no negative customer impact
- The RMA vacation/personal time approval will be housed with the RMA Supervisor
- Serve as backup to the Portfolio Manager as needed
- Maintain compliance with regulations and bank policies and procedures, including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) requirements

- Complete other duties as assigned as determined by management to be reasonable and beneficial
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to effectively communicate with customers, employees and management. Regular use of the telephone and email for communication is essential. Remaining in a stationary position for extended periods of time is common. Must be able to accurately gather and process verbal and written information and properly prepare or inspect documents. Good manual dexterity is needed for the frequent use of common office equipment, such as computer terminals, calculators, copiers and telephones. Occasional travel across the bank footprint with overnight travel to applicable conferences and sales meetings may be required.
