Job Overview
We are a wholesale grower seeking a motivated and friendly individual who shares our love for horticulture and has a passion for helping our customers select and purchase a broad range of exotic plants, trees, and flowers. Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome customers as they enter the Nursery
- Assist customers in finding and selecting the appropriate plants, based on their specific requirements.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on plant care.
- Assist in the development of approaches that ensure every customer is made aware of the full spectrum of material we offered.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships by actively listening to their needs and offering personalized recommendations
- Handle customer inquiries and concerns, in a professional and timely manner, striving to resolve issues to the customer's satisfaction
- Assist in inventory control and safety practices.
- Stay up to date with product knowledge and industry trends to provide accurate information to customers
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in sales, preferably in a garden center, nursery or a similar environment
- Passion for horticulture, gardening, and outdoor living
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Customer-focused mindset with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional service
- Proven ability to work well in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly on your feet
- Basic knowledge of plants, their care requirements
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items, such as large plants, as required and up to 50lbs.
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred
- Knowledge of exotic material and interior foliage is a plus
