Summary Description :
The primary responsibility of the Exterior Maintenance Supervisor is to perform landscape maintenance tasks with care and efficiency while ensuring smooth day to day operation of the department. To ensure the highest level of services are provided, additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions) :
1. Perform landscape maintenance tasks on customer's property including, but not limited to :
- Maintenance of trees, shrubs, perennial and seasonal flowers.
- Use of hand shears, hand pruners and hand loppers. Gas and electric equipment such as : power shears, power blowers, mowers, line trimmers and blowers
- Mowing, edging, blowing fertilizer application, weed control, bed raking, trimming and pruning.
- Perform all regular tasks including but not limited to leaf and debris removal.
- Watering containers, beds and hanging baskets as needed.
2. Exceed client's expectations by providing professional, courteous and efficient service at all times.
3. Project a "good company image" at all times.
4. Understand and uphold Exterior Maintenance Department Quality Standards.
5. Able to work effectively both individually and in a team with minimal supervision; able to make decisions using own initiative. Assume responsibility for own work and for performing tasks correctly.
6. Follow direction and guidance provided Management Team and communicate / delegate responsibilities to Exterior Leads and Technicians on a daily basis.
7. Report problems or concerns regarding accounts to Management Team.
8. Must drive a company vehicle when needed.

10. Responsible for managing equipment including but not limited to :
11. Is aware of and concerned with the daily goals and expectations of the Crew Lead. When covering for a Crew Lead, must report concerns regarding accounts to Supervisor or Manager on a same day basis.
12. Ensure working hours, including overtime, have been recorded accurately and truthfully for each time period worked.
13. Ensure interior and exterior work sites are restored to original condition, or better if necessary without holes, exposed pipes or gravel, footprints in beds or interior spaces, exposed roots, or soil / debris on surrounding hardscape upon completion of work.
14. Continue own education by staying informed of industry trends, learning new skills and asking questions when appropriate.
15. Participate in company LEAN activities and maintain areas as assigned.
16. Monitor Salesforce, emails, and phone messages throughout workday and respond in a timely manner, always following the company "Sunset Rule" for internal and external communications.
17. Update and utilize Salesforce in daily work, keeping accurate and up-to-date records on all accounts.
18. Other duties as assigned.

Ensure knowledge of the appropriate safety and environmental revisions. Handle plants and tools with care, being concerned with safety and security. Immediately report safety concerns to Crew Lead.
