Extrusion Technician

We are looking for an Extrusion Technician for a Long-term contract role. Please send your resume along with hourly rate expectation if interested.

Duration: Long term contract

What you will be responsible for:

· Support film extrusion equipment operation and set-up.

· Troubleshooting.

· Providing recommendations and implementing solutions to resolve equipment and/or process problems in a timely manner.

· Application of sound principles to drive improvements in tooling, production, processing, and equipment in a continuous and timely manner.

· Ensure machines are functional and safe to operate.

· Report safety problems immediately and operate equipment safely.

· Write and revise SOPs.

· Support or own work orders, deviations, and audit observations for equipment activities.

· Maintain quality on parts being produced and report any quality problems.

· Perform 5S activities.

· Perform all material handling functions (raw materials and finished goods).

· Control flow of materials using standardized work.

· Avoid passing defects to next process.

· Report daily line problems and countermeasures.

· Meet daily production levels.

· Determine correct shipping and receiving requirements.

What is required:

· Demonstrated eagerness to learn and apply new skills, concepts, and applications.

· Flexible and capable of adapting to change.

· High School/GED – Technical Certificate or higher preferred

· Ability to handle up to fifty (50) pounds with physical dexterity to assemble and operate test equipment.

· 5 years of experience in manufacturing, plastics processing experience preferred.

· Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills.

· Effective written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to maintain charts, graphs, and production reports.

· Ability to perform basic math and measurements and to gauge parts if needed.

· Ability to understand production goals and associated documentation.

· Ability to ensure compliance with quality systems, policies, procedures, and practices and all local, state, federal and safety regulations, policies, and procedures

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

• Day shift
• Morning shift
