What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinic LPN; Pulmonary Clinic; Mon - Friday; 80 hours position at Bothwell Regional Health Center?
Overview:
The Clinic LPN is responsible for providing population specific care within the outpatient setting. Performs a broad range of nursing, office, and laboratory duties to provide exceptional health and wellness services to those from birth to 105 years of age.
The Clinic LPN reports directly to the Clinic Operations Manager.
Responsibilities:
1. Obtains patient vital signs and health history, administers screening
questionnaires, performs medication reconciliation, and documents all findings in the medical record.
2. Assists the clinician with a variety of procedures specific to clinic specialty.
3. Responsible for providing follow up on patient referrals, medication refills,
authorizations, and other patient-related correspondence current licensure and proficiencies.
4. Administers medications, including immunizations as ordered by the clinician
required logs and information needed for reports.
5. Performs specimen collection and testing specific to clinic specialty high level of
confidentiality.
6. Maintains a safe patient care environment and adheres to all government and
organizational policies.
7. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
1. Education:
a.) Graduate of an accredited Practical School of Nursing.
2. Licensure/Certification:
a.) Current licensure by Missouri State Board of Nursing or compact state.
b.) Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
3. Work Experience:
a.) Successful completion of orientation for Clinic LPN.
