JOB SUMMARY:
The Clinic Medical Scribe is responsible for direct patient care & assisting provider with obtaining & maintaining patient records.
This position will report directly to the Clinic Site Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Education:
a.) High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Licensure/Certification:
a.) None.
3. Work Experience:
a.) 6 months’ experience as a Medical Scribe. OR
b.) 6 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of
education and experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB DUTIES:
- Accompany physician into the patient examination room in order to transcribe a history and physical exam, and document accurately the physician’s encounter with the patient and others present.
- List all proper diagnoses and symptoms as well as follow up instructions and prescriptions as dictated by the physician.
- Transcribe patient orders including laboratory tests, radiology tests, medications, etc.
- Document any procedures performed by the physician.
- Maintain professional appearance and conduct at all times.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff and managements.
- Document work processes as required.
- Other duties as assigned.

4. Well-ventilated and lit USP-797 IV admixture and clerical ante-room environment.
5. Ordering, stocking, etc., of chemotherapeutic and other hazardous agents.
