JOB SUMMARY:
The Clinical Informatics Specialist performs routine department, clinical professions, and system processes support for Bothwell Acute and Ambulatory and supports implementation teams designated for these areas.
The Clinical Informatics Specialist reports directly to the Nursing Informatics Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education:
a.) Associates of Science or Bachelor of Science preferred.
- Licensure/Certification:
- LPN / RN preferred
- Work Experience:
a.) 5 years’ experience in Health Clinics or Health Care operations.
b.) Must have acceptable driving record and valid auto insurance.
RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB DUTIES:
- Specific knowledge of clinical operations to ensure that the Meditech system is designed, tested, and utilized to meet the needs of Bothwell.
- Performs routine healthcare applications support, installation, and maintenance.
- Researches, analyzes, and makes recommendations for application work flow improvements.
- Works with Clinical managers in both acute and ambulatory to ensure the Meditech system design and work flow goals are reached.
- Works closely with providers and clinicians in system review, design, development, and testing.
- Assists the Nursing Informatics Manager in developing protocols, policies, procedures, and quality metrics, to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Facilitates training sessions and maintains documents. Participates in developing and delivering communications, and training for end-user implementation and optimization, to include voice recognition software.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
