JOB SUMMARY:
The Durable Medical Equipment Tech is responsible for Durable Medical equipment delivery, cleaning, preparation, and inventory.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
Missouri Chauffeur driver’s license required.
Work Experience:
Prior experience with in Durable Medical Equipment Technology desired.
Prior healthcare related work experience desirable.
General computer knowledge.
RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB DUTIES:
Preparation and maintenance, cleaning and repair of home medical equipment to include Oxygen Concentrators, Mobility Aids, client referral intakes, and client follow-up to ensure client satisfaction.
Delivery of home medical equipment to include Oxygen Concentrators, Wheelchairs, and Mobility Aids.
Completion of assigned documentation and assessments in accordance with Hospital and Departmental procedures.
Daily driving, for pickup and delivery, of durable medical equipment.
Department stock maintenance, cleaning and other duties as assigned.
Enters inventory into Brightree.
Regularly assists with front desk duties, including greeting customers, answering telephone, maintaining patient files, and data entry.
In-home O2 equipment setup and patient instruct.
In-home O2 maintenance and troubleshooting.
Other duties as assigned.
