JOB SUMMARY:
The Environmental Service Worker - Clinic is require maintaining the facility environment at Bothwell Regional Health Center Clinic in a clean, sanitary, orderly, and attractive condition; to provide a suitable environment for the care of patients and the work of staff and other health care providers.
The Environmental Service Worker - Clinic reports directly to Director Environmental Service.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
a.) High school diploma or GED preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
a.) None.
Work Experience:
a.) On job training.
RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB DUTIES:
Cleaning of exam rooms, offices, supply rooms, break rooms, medicine rooms,
lab, x-ray, procedure room, restrooms, windows and door glass if applicable
proper method. Removal and transport of soil linen and put in proper receptacle.
2. Disposal of trash and infectious waste.
3. Light laundry duties and light maintenance duties where applicable.
4. Floor care by either: dust mopping, wet mopping, vacuuming, cleaning carpet,
buffing, or waxing.
5. Document the procedure involved in the disposal of hospital waste products, and ensure that the right procedure in line with the standard practice of the hospital, is follow.
6. Other duties as assigned.
