This position is responsible for the protection, safeguarding, and security of patients, employees, and visitors, as well as the assets of the organization.
Responsibilities
JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
1.
Secures the premises by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings and access points.
2.
Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities and restraining trespassers.
3.
Investigates and writes reports on accidents, incidents, suspicious activities, safety and fire hazards, and other security related situations.
4.
Provides needed assistance to patients, employees, and visitors following department procedures.
5.
Immediately responds to emergencies to secure the area and provide necessary assistance.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Associate Degree in a related field preferred
- Must be able to pass certification course in firearms within 3 months of hire
- Attend, complete and/or certify on training required by the BRHC Security Supervisor or BRHC Leadership
- BLS required
- 2 years’ experience in law enforcement or security
- Must be 21 years of age or older
