We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods from our distribution center to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations and the ability to handle heavy lifting and materials management effectively.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Load and unload products at the distribution center and delivery locations.
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track deliveries and manage inventory.
- Perform order picking tasks to ensure accurate fulfillment of customer orders.
- Handle heavy equipment operation, including cranes, when necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the delivery vehicle and warehouse area.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Build strong relationships with clients through professional service and timely deliveries.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role within a warehouse or distribution center environment is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage materials handling tasks efficiently.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in order picking and inventory management.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with team members and clients.
