Job Description: Construction Coordinator
A Construction Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring that construction projects run smoothly, efficiently, and on schedule. This position involves a blend of technical know-how, logistical coordination, and people management. A Construction Coordinator acts as the central hub for managing the day-to-day operations of a construction project. They serve as the liaison between project managers, contractors, vendors, engineers, architects, and clients. Their main objective is to keep construction projects on track in terms of schedule, budget, quality, and compliance with safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Coordination:
- Assist in planning and scheduling construction activities.
- Monitor progress and ensure milestones are met.
- Coordinate between various teams (e.g., subcontractors, suppliers, and clients).
- Communicate updates and changes to all stakeholders.
2. Site Management:
- Ensure materials and equipment arrive on-site when needed.
- Monitor site logistics (deliveries, personnel movements, etc.).
- Maintain accurate records of daily site activities and incidents.
3. Documentation & Reporting:
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including RFIs (Requests for Information), submittals, change orders, permits, and progress reports.
- Track project costs and budget.
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements and project specifications.
4. Safety & Compliance:
- Enforce site safety standards and procedures.
- Ensure all workers comply with OSHA or other regulatory standards.
- Report and document any safety incidents or violations.
5. Procurement & Inventory Management:
- Assist in sourcing and ordering materials and equipment.
- Keep track of inventory levels and usage.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
6. Problem-Solving:
- Quickly address on-site issues or delays.
- Liaise with engineers or architects to resolve design or structural concerns.
- Recommend solutions to improve efficiency or overcome obstacles.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Skills:
- Knowledge of construction methods, tools, and materials.
- Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Buildertrend).
- Basic understanding of construction drawings.
- Budgeting experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Education and Experience:
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is helpful.

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
