The Role
Bottomline is looking for a Senior User Interface Developer to grow with us either remotely or in our Portsmouth, NH office!
Bottomline Technologies continues to deliver compelling user experiences built with modern UI technologies to large banks and financial institutions around the world. We are looking to add the right individual to our highly skilled and dedicated UI Development group. As a Senior UI Developer at Bottomline, you will have the opportunity to contribute to one of Bottomline’s key Platforms.
This person must be based in the United States.
This person must be willing to work Eastern Time Zone Hours.
How you’ll contribute:
- Develop the user experience of high volume fintech platforms
- Maintain and enhance our development best practices.
- Participate in Code Reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge.
- Create prototypes and proof of concepts to drive the future state of one of Bottomline’s platforms
- Provide effort and risk estimates to support planning.
- Collaborate with product designers and UX specialists to refine component specifications and translate those designs into UI Components
- Maintain and contribute to Bottomline’s UI Design Library
What will make you successful:
- 5 years of UI Development
- B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent studies and experience in modern technologies
- Ability to provide online portfolio or live example of work
- Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6 ).
- Proven experience building reusable components and applications in React. Preferably isolated component development in Storybook.
- Deep knowledge of semantic HTML and modern CSS.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in a Product based role is strongly preferred
- Preferred experience with unit and integration testing frameworks (e.g. Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, Mocha, Tape, etc).
- Proficiency with Git version control and preferably an understanding of the fork-and-pull model.
- Strong communication skills, working with both technical and non-technical people.
- Strong collaboration skills working together with other developers and designers.
- Ability to create responsive applications and components that work across devices.
- Proven ability to work remotely and be self-motivated.
- Ability to analyze requirements and create a suggested design approach.
- Experience with cross-browser testing (not just Chrome).
