Telebelt Specialist

Overview

The Telebelt Specialist safely operates the telebelt to move and place concrete and aggregate materials to various job site locations. They will performs daily inspection and maintenance on the equipment to keep the machine in a safe and proper working condition at all times. The ideal candidate will also be operating various heavy equipment to perform fine grading and finishing, sloping and banking, backfilling, demolition, ditching, loading, excavating and stockpiling.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate the Telebelt machine to transport and place concrete and other aggregate materials efficiently and safely.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on the Telebelt to ensure its optimal functioning.
• Market Telebelt services to potential clients, including job sites and construction companies, to generate new business opportunities.
• Hire, train, and manage personnel involved in operating the Telebelt, ensuring they adhere to safety protocols and operating procedures.
• Coordinate with project managers and construction teams to schedule and facilitate the use of the Telebelt for various projects.
• Maintain inventory of Telebelt parts and supplies, and oversee ordering as necessary.
• Operates heavy equipment of various sizes and weights used in road, site or highway construction and paving
• Operates heavy equipment in a safe and effective manner in order to minimize the risk of injury, property damage or loss of life
• Performs daily safety and maintenance checks
• Cleans heavy equipment as scheduled and/or required
• Maintains the equipment and advise supervisor of any requirement for maintenance or repairs
• Uses equipment as appropriate to level roads and/or working area, ensure proper drainage, and develop proper grade
• Ensures a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task
• Properly follows all company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment
• Reports any problems to your immediate supervisor
• Signals operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment, movement, and materials with shovel
• Follows direction of Foreman as to daily tasks and expectations for each specific project or jobsite
• May be called upon to run small power tools such as jack hammer
• Digs, spreads, and levels construction materials
• Lifts, carries and holds material, tools and supplies
• Maintains regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required
• Other duties as assigned

SAFETY:

• Responsible for ensuring OSHA standards and company safety policies are complied with at all times including but not limited to operation of tools, equipment and machinery
• Corrects unsafe conditions in work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to supervisor immediately

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Telebelt experience in maintenance, repair and operations is required
• Must have considerable knowledge of equipment operations in construction and maintenance procedures
• Class A or B license required. No automatic restrictions strongly preferred
• Must possess a working knowledge of grades and blueprints
• Skill in operation of assigned equipment
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Ability to establish effective working relationships with other employees and general public
• Complies with company policies and procedures.
• Performs job safely with respect to others, property and individual safety

Pay range:  $27.00 - $36.00 per hour based on experience
