What are the responsibilities and job description for the Respiratory Therapist position at Boulder City Hospital?
General Purpose
The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for the accurate and safe execution of physicians orders for the optimal administration of oxygen therapy, respiratory treatments, arterial puncture/blood gas analysis, pulse oximetry, ventilatory support, EKG testing, and bedside spirometry.
Helps to maintain supplies/ equipment for the efficient and beneficial administration of this therapy or testing.
May function as the Department Manager in his/her absence as designated. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Position requires bending at waist, standing, sitting and pushing.
Must have good written and communication skills to deal with the public and hospital physicians/staff.
