Boulder Community Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Specialist Supervisor that is responsible for supervising the daily operation of the behavioral health team. In collaboration with the Manager of Outpatient Behavioral Health Services, the BHS Supervisor implements patient care processes that result in patient and staff satisfaction. The BHS Supervisor maintains adequate staff and assures staff competence through the Competency Based orientation and the Service Quality Review processes.

Qualifications
Master of Social Work (MSW) or Master of Counseling degree required
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Colorado required.
Two years supervised experience in an integrated primary care environment, acute care hospital setting, human service agency or its equivalent preferred
Responsibilities
Supervise Behavioral Health Specialists in Physician Clinics
With the manager, interview and hire new staff members in designated supervisory area.
Support staff by intervening in conflict and/or problem-solving. Escalate to Integrated Services Manager if unable to de-escalate, resolve or facilitate.
Responsible for the department in the absence of the Manager.
Work cooperatively and collaboratively as a member of a Care Team with Primary Care Providers, MAs, and other clinic's staff to provide care to patients based on best practices and evidence-case medicine (EBM).
Responsible for crisis intervention, problem-solving, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and self-management support for referred patients.
Responsible for telephone call follow-up for high-risk patients on caseload, especially depression patients.
Provide emotional support for patients and/or families and staff in crisis situations.
Provide accurate assessment and evaluation, development and implementation of a treatment plan with patients and/or families, i.e., psychosocial assessments.
Coordinate services between health care and community service providers and the patient and/or family and staff.
Establish new and maintain ongoing relationships with various resources in the community as determined by patient, family, hospital, and community needs.
Provide education to patients and/or families, staff and the community; topics may include crisis intervention, and the emotional, social, and economic stresses of illness.
