$38.39 - $57.59 an hour - Full-Time Days, 40 hours per week
Boulder Community Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Manager who assumes overall responsibility for the management of the Sterile Processing Department.

Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Associate's Degree in a health care related discipline.
Employees who do not hold an Associate's Degree must enroll in an accredited Associate's Degree program in healthcare, or related discipline, within six months of hire. Continuous enrollment is required, and the degree requirements must be completed within four years of enrollment.
Must be certified in Sterile Processing from a recognized association, i.e., International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management (IAHCSMM) or Certification Board of Central Sterile Processing (CBSPDS).
Extensive knowledge of sterilization techniques, processing and instrumentation as well as all other aspects involved with or pertaining to the SPD.
Three years of sterile processing management experience preferred.
Minimum of three to five years of experience in operating room and/or central sterile processing required.
Responsibilities
Manages the operational, educational and personnel activities in the Sterile Processing Department;
Trains staff in the use of sterilizers, packaging procedures, and distribution of medical surgical supplies and equipment processed by the department;
Maintains adequate staffing by developing work schedules that assure continuous service;
Prepares the annual budget for Sterile Processing and monitors budgetary expenses throughout the year;
Interviews, hires, develops and evaluates technical support staff;
Plans and schedules in-service educational programs for Sterile Processing staff regarding new product, processes and standards;
Coordinates the maintenance of adequate stock levels of reusable equipment and instruments for in patient and out patient services;
Assesses current departmental processes and utilizes Continuous Quality Improvement techniques to make improvements;
Is responsible for the timely processing of decontamination, cleaning, packaging, and sterilization of goods in the Sterile Processing Department;
Coordinates quality assurance measures for tray accuracy through establishing processes to identify missing instruments, document and identify repairs, record necessary changes, identify tends, and recommends process changes;
