$20.09- $29.02 an hour - Per Diem Days, Various shifts and hours per week
*Range includes per diem differential.
Boulder Community Health is seeking a Referral & Insurance Specialist who will be involved in the central processing of prior-authorizations and referrals for multiple primary care practices.

Qualifications
High school graduate or GED preferred.
Experience with medical terminology preferred.
Previous referral experience preferred with knowledge of health insurance.
Responsibilities
Acquires authorization for referral from appropriate insurance carrier in a timely manner.
Communicates with patients and physicians regarding referral information.
Follows up with insurance carrier when referrals are denied in a timely manner.
Documents appropriate information in patient charts, as well as in logbook for future reference.
Maintains strict patient confidentiality.
Upholds guidelines set forth in department/clinic/organization.
Attends meetings and participates on committees as required.
Establishes and maintains effective, professional working relationships with patients and their representatives, managers, staff, physician, other hospital departments, outside agencies, and the public.
Embraces and upholds philosophy of patient service and satisfaction.
