This is a full-time, benefited position, that will work Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm, with varied hours depending on workload need. This position will work out of the Alternative Sentencing Facility, the Boulder and Longmont Justice Centers, and the Boulder County Jail located in Boulder County, Colorado. Under Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) guidelines, this position is exempt.
Boulder County requires its employees to reside in the state of Colorado as of the first day of work.
Hiring Salary Range: $83,844.00 - $120,732.00 Annually

Examples of Duties
- Oversees the daily operation of all security functions, facility activities and exercises direct and indirect supervision over professional and Community Justice Services staff as assigned. Includes Timecards, Performance Evaluations and Performance improvement
- Assists the ASF Administrator in developing, implementing and supervises local/state/ federal standards, policies and guidelines that apply to community-based adult correctional facilities and programs
- Formulates policy, procedure and operational plans for all areas of facility operations and assist program managers in doing the same
- Coordinates with the Programs Managers and Training/Compliance Manager on the development of facility activities, facility schedules, programs and implementation
- Serves as a Team Member to the ASF Administrative Team and collaborates with system partners on justice systems needs and gaps
- Develops staff post orders for all areas of the facility and ensures training specifically related to post orders
- Oversees disciplinary actions and due process procedures relating to clients and/or residents and ensures that the least punitive measures are exercised
- Develops and manages facility vendor contracts for food service, laundry, vending, communications, etc. and regularly audits invoiced activities and/or services to ensure high quality services
- Ensures compliance with all regulations, rules, policies, procedures for effective and efficient operations
- Plans for and responds to emergency situations within the facility, directs staff and searches deemed necessary by event
- Formulates and executes plans for client failure to return/escape, client disturbances/riots, work stoppages and all other disturbances and threats to security
- Regularly meets with shift supervisors to discuss operational issues, analyzing problems and improving operations
- Assists the ASF Administrator in responding to EOC emergency situations and ensures orderly execution of evacuation and/or shelter in place orders
- Serve as one of the Product Owners of the ASF facility and client management system where you will be responsible for defining the vision of the product for the programs you oversee, prioritizing enhancements, and ensuring the development team delivers value by aligning the product with stakeholder needs and business goals.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Human Services, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Sociology, or a related field
- Strong Self-awareness of diversity, equity and inclusion considerations in working with teams and clients in the criminal justice system.
- System level knowledge of the Criminal Justice system with particular knowledge in the area of adult correctional settings and alternative sentencing programs; specifically day reporting, home monitoring, work release and community corrections.
- First-hand knowledge of basic principles in the areas of office management, business management, contract management and risk management.
- Advanced skill in de-escalation, conflict resolution and motivational interviewing.
- Supervisory principles, procedures, and methods including selection, training, discipline, and evaluation.
- Understanding of basic business and office protocols and use of various software systems to include SharePoint and Excel.
- Excellent verbal, written and public speaking skills.
