What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales and Marketing Intern Summer 2025- Part Time (IMM) position at Boulder Heavy Industries?
Are you looking for an internship to gain experience in sales and new business development in the Digital Marketing industry? IMM takes great pride in nurturing the up‐and‐coming industry stars of tomorrow through our hands‐on internship programs.
We are looking for a sharp and strategic student to join our team as an intern for summer 2025.
This paid internship will work approximately 3 days/week during the summer, onsite at our main office located in Boulder, CO. Candidate must be local to Colorado (no relocation or housing assistance provided) and exact hours and schedule will be based on candidate availability.
A Day in a Life…
You can expect to develop confidence and marketable skills by engaging in or assisting with the following activities:
· Manage a variety of sales and marketing tasks for IMM new business team, including:
o Outbound Content Campaigns
§ Researching trends in B2B and B2C marketing, focusing on marketing leaders’ pain points, new methodologies or technologies these leaders are using
§ Using trends and guidance from your supervisor to ideate and outline new content ideas for the agency
§ Research keywords and trending topics to use in our content strategy (the intern will learn how to use SEMRush and other search tools to find trends)
§ Editing blog posts, whitepapers, and other outbound content used to draw prospective clients to the website
§ Using ChatGPT to help refine and create content
§ Expect to own publishing 1-2 blog posts a week, upon approval of content from supervisor
§ Additionally promote blogs and more on LinkedIn
o Prospecting and Account-Based Marketing
§ Work with supervisors to identify target accounts, AKA companies, and contacts within companies
§ Use lists and outbound content to find unique ways to reach out to prospective contacts.
§ Help supervisor create (outline, copy write, design, record) custom content for prospects, including advertising, social media posts, videos, and one-pagers and landing pages
§ This will require writing and content creation skills for social media, I.e., creating scripts, recording videos, and light design work in Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
o PR and Events
§ Assist your supervisor in seeking out speaking and sponsorship opportunities at local marketing events
§ Help build target list for publications, podcasts, and influencers where IMM would like to gain exposure
§ Assist in hosting at least one networking or education workshop this summer
o AI-Product Research and Development
§ Our intern will be asked to contribute to researching and identifying opportunities for IMM to use generative-AI, LLMs, and other partner technologies as a NEW revenue stream for the agency
§ This will be a special project and will result in the intern presenting their findings and recommendations to the agency leadership team.

Currently enrolled in an accredited graduate or undergraduate program in Colorado working towards a Communication, Marketing, or Business major. Junior or Senior Graduating in 2025 or 2026 preferred.
Here is what will get our attention:
· Currently enrolled in an accredited graduate or undergraduate program working towards a Sales, Advertising, Marketing, or Business major
· Maintaining an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher
· Be a junior or senior in college or a recent college graduate
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (particularly strong skills in PPT and Excel)
· You communicate clearly and write well. You can decipher the appropriate tone for various forms of communication.
· You have an interest in pursuing a career in Marketing and Sales.

· Strong writing skills
· Ability to work independently and as a team member in a dynamic, fast-paced setting
· Experience with Google Slides or PowerPoint, Word, and Excel, and at least some experience working with LLMs like ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, or the equivalent
· Solid attention to detail, possess the ability to follow through and complete tasks and projects on time and to the requirements laid out by their supervisor
· Bonus points if this intern is adept in social media content creation and posting

Base Salary: $17-$18/hr DOE
