This position is part-time working 24 hours a week with some flexibility; our optical department is open from 8:30a-5:00p Monday through Friday. We offer on the job training, however, Optical experience is defined as a plus.

Job Perks

- Day shift schedules are Monday through Friday.
- Assists patients in selecting eyeglasses frames in accordance with prescription specifications and facial structure.
- Repairs frames per patient's request, when possible.
- Adjusts frames for proper fit and to the patient's satisfaction.
- Orders lenses and frames in a timely manner.
- Performs the following functions in the lab: neutralizes, layout of frames, cut & edge and complete finish work.
- Maintains equipment in proper working condition.
- Assists with the purchase of frames for sales (works/talks with sales reps.).
- Assists with the dispensing of contact lenses, as required.
- Must use good judgment and planning in evaluating work priorities and in responding to a variety of responsibilities requiring flexibility.

- High School Diploma.
- Past experience in Optical and / or Ophthalmology, preferred.
- Experience with contact lens fitting, adjustments and ordering is a plus.
- $18.91 - $25.21/hour; depending on experience
