Summary:
Boulder Medical Center (BMC) is currently seeking certified Pharmacy Technicians to join our Pharmacy Team! This position is benefit eligible working part-time 24 hours per week working three days per week Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.

Job Duties:
- Works closely with pharmacists, health care professionals, team members and other pharmacies to fill prescription orders. Accurately enters patient profiles into computer. Prepares labels and receipts and checks prescriptions for completeness and accuracy.
- Performs cash handling and accurately handles transactions at the cash register and records insurance information per Pharmacy department procedures.
- Performs inventory support. Receives, unpacks, checks, marks and properly stocks drugs and supplies. Orders and maintains stock and Over-the-counter (OTC) specials. Competently operations inventory management software.
- Adheres to rules and regulations of the State Board of Pharmacy governing technician activities.
- Assists with the preparation of medication orders by compounding or admixing medications under supervision of a physician. Checks all orders for completeness of information. Verifies patient information and proper physician authorization.
- Pleasant phone voice and ability to enunciate clearly.
- Must have effective oral communications skills to professionally interact with patients, providers and staff.

- Knowledge of basic pharmacy practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of medications and medical supplies.
- Knowledge of record-keeping techniques.

- Ability to maintain adequate inventory/supplies.
- Proficiency with computer and phone systems.
Education:
- High school Diploma or GED certificate.
- Must provide proof of completion of a Pharmacy Technician training program and have some coursework in medical or pharmacy terminology.
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician required.
Previous Experience:
- 1 year previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician, preferably in a clinic, retail or hospital setting.
The starting hourly pay range for this position is commensurate with experience:
- $18.91 - $25.21/hour (full pay range is $18.91 - $28.36)
