Description
We are seeking a Cylinder Technician I to manage and perform all cylinder preps (Gen-116) and conversions (Gen-117) of the BSC cylinders that will be used in upcoming processes to package material. This encompasses C430, C120, CW28 cylinders. Also to fill solvent cylinders for SP as needed. Working under the Production Manager and MRP on order and scheduling of what cylinders to prep
Job Responsibilities
- Perform Gen 116 (Cylinder Prepping) and Gen 117 (Cylinder Converting) to clean cylinders for use
- Prepares and stages cylinders for production, pilot plant needs
- Make sure all cylinders look good on the outside and have the Tare weight in the correct location
- Removes labels and paints cylinders
- Maintains organized and clean cylinder prep area as well as storage locations
- Support SP by receiving, filling and returning there solvent cylinders
Qualifications
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Able to pass physical as well as respiratory as wearing a respirator is required
Experience
- Previous experience with Chemical Handling is a plus
- Experience with filling or testing cylinders similar to those in the fleet preferred
- Forklift experience a plus (Certification preferred)
Work Environment
The job requires work outside in all weather. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee will be working in areas that require the use of PPE.
Salary : $22 - $25
