Summary:

An Intramural Sports Club Coach is responsible for organizing, coaching, and supervising elementary school students participating in after-school intramural sports programs. This role focuses on fostering teamwork, sportsmanship, and skill development in a fun, inclusive, and structured environment. Directs the activity and coordinates the program allowing students to develop their interests. The Intramural Sponsor for the program reports to the building principal.

Responsibilities:

Leadership is to be provided in the following areas:

• Plan and lead engaging sports activities tailored to elementary-age students.
• Teach fundamental skills, rules, and strategies for various sports in a positive and supportive manner.
• Promote teamwork, respect, and fair play among participants.
• Ensure all students have opportunities to participate and improve, regardless of skill level.
• Organize and oversee friendly competitions and skill-building exercises.
• Maintain a safe playing environment, following school and district safety guidelines.
• Communicate with parents, school staff, and administration regarding schedules and expectations.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Must be 21 years of age, or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Complete and submitted BVSD online application
• Communicate (read, write, and speak) in English

Preferred:

• Must be available after school, evenings and weekends
• Knowledge of all aspects of elementary school activity programming.
• Proven leadership qualities and successful experience in working with elementary school students.

Salary Information:

Salary Placement varies according to experience and education.

• Pay range listed above is for employees newly hired to BVSD or current BVSD employees that are new to the employee group (existing employees currently in this unit please refer to the pay range on the appropriate salary schedule). BVSD engages in a salary placement process vs. a salary negotiation process.
