Summary:
The Microsoft Endpoint Architect works in collaboration with the IT Infrastructure & Operations team to design, implement, and manage a cohesive end user experience for the district Microsoft Ecosystem. The role is responsible for providing a diverse set of Microsoft offerings for STEM and CTE classes. The Endpoint Architect plays a critical role in ensuring the stability, security, and performance of endpoint devices across the organization's network, ultimately contributing to the overall success of the IT infrastructure. Working closely with all teams within the IT department as well as business partners, staff, and students.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and configure endpoint settings, policies, and profiles to ensure compliance focusing on zero trust security for a mobile workforce. Oversee device enrollment and provisioning for all Windows devices, and troubleshoot endpoint configuration issues to ensure resolution.
- Design and configure O365 applications, focusing on Office and Power Suites. Optimize Microsoft licensing structure to ensure efficient usage of BVSD resources. Develop BVSD roadmap for Microsoft end-user services building trust with users.
- Architect and manage the Microsoft online storage ecosystem, including individual, team, and ad hoc shares. Design and implement a backup strategy to ensure business continuity and mitigate ransomware risks.
- Implement security measures, including endpoint protection, encryption, and access controls to defend endpoint against cyber threats. Monitor endpoint security and enforce compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies. Respond to security incidents, conduct investigations, and implement remediation actions.
- Develop and automate patch management strategies to keep endpoints updated with the latest security patches and software updates. Lead testing and deployment of patches across devices, minimizing disruption to end users in collaboration with IT support teams.
- Develop and implement automation scripts and workflows, emphasizing PowerShell and Power Automate, to streamline endpoint management tasks.
- Maintain documentation of endpoint management procedures, configurations, and best practices. Provide training and support to end users and IT staff on endpoint management tools and processes.
- Optimize endpoint performance and resource utilization through performance monitoring and tuning. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and issues to enhance user experience and productivity.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent

Completed and submitted BVSD online application.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
- Minimum of five years experience in: Microsoft Endpoint Management and Configuration
Preferred:
- Proven experience as a system administrator or endpoint administrator in an enterprise environment.
- Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Manager Administrator Associate
Salary Information:
Salary Range 6: $83,987 - $125,981
Salary Placement varies according to experience and education.
- Pay range listed above is for employees newly hired to BVSD or current BVSD employees that are new to the employee group (existing employees currently in this unit please refer to the pay range on the appropriate salary schedule). BVSD engages in a salary placement process vs. a salary negotiation process.
