Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while completing the front office operations of our dental practice. This role requires a blend of administrative skills and interpersonal abilities to ensure a smooth patient experience.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and manage the check-in and check-out process.
- Schedule appointments and manage the dental office calendar efficiently.
- Handle patient inquiries via phone and in-person with professionalism, utilizing excellent phone etiquette.
- Maintain accurate patient records and health information management systems, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
- Process patient information, including insurance verification and medical coding when necessary.
- Assist with billing inquiries and provide administrative support as needed.
- Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming for patients.
- Communicate with referral offices as needed
Experience
- Previous experience in a dental office is required.
- Familiarity with Dentrix/ascend software a plus
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients and team members professionally.
