What are the responsibilities and job description for the NON-DOT DELIVERY DRIVER - WILL TRAIN position at Boulevard Tire?
Boulevard Tire Center is looking for an experienced Delivery Driver in our Jacksonville, FL location.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Must maintain regular attendance and ability to be at work on time each scheduled workday.
- Transport product to and from locations via company vehicle.
- Meet delivery schedules and stops as designated.
- Load and unload truck with tires, mounted or loose, to our customers and/or to our locations in Florida
5.. Ensure the safety of every load, when loading, during transit and when unloading.
- Maintain the quality of tires, loaded/unloaded/transported.
- Maintain all driver logs.
- Maintain appearance of all trucks and/or trailers.
- Alert Manager of truck maintenance needs.
- When not driving assist team with various duties as assigned by Manager.
- Must comply with Company Safety Policies.
- Keep accurate records of deliveries, ensuring delivered product matches invoice or work order, and including appropriate signatures.
OTHER DUTIES
- Ability and flexibility to perform other duties as assigned by Manager.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILTIES AND QUALIFICIATIONS
- High School diploma or GED.
- Demonstrated knowledge of DOT regulations required.
- Current Class B Commercial Drivers license required, with demonstrated knowledge of air brakes.
- Clean driving record required.
- Ability to read, write, speak English required.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and customers as necessitated by the work.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be willing to undergo and pass a pre-employment drug screen, social security, MVR check, criminal background check and reference check as a condition of employment.
- Must possess a valid Florida's driver's license
- Must read and write English.
- Must be physically and mentally able to safely perform the essential functions without obvious risk of injury to the employee and co-workers.
