Boulo Solutions is partnering with a third party logistics distribution company in Auburn, AL looking to hire A Director of Quality Assurance (QA) to join their team. The QA is a critical role in ensuring that all operations, from warehousing to transportation and customer service, meet high-quality standards. Salary: $100-110k plus relocation for right candidate
Hours: 8-5 or 7:30-4:30 plus extra as needed

This role focuses on compliance, process improvement, risk management, and customer satisfaction while supporting operational efficiency. Here’s an overview of the role:
Key Responsibilities of a Director of Quality Assurance:
1. Process & Quality Control Management
- Develop and implement quality assurance policies, procedures, and best practices across all operations (warehousing, transportation, order fulfillment).
- Monitor and analyze KPIs related to quality, such as on-time delivery rates, order accuracy, and customer complaints.
- Conduct regular audits and process evaluations to ensure compliance with company standards and client expectations.
- Identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies and work with operations to drive improvements.
2. Compliance & Regulatory Oversight
- Ensure adherence to industry regulations, as well as customer-specific compliance requirements.
- Oversee safety programs and ensure all employees follow proper procedures to minimize risk and liability.
- Work with legal and compliance teams to stay ahead of industry changes and new regulations that could impact operations.
3. Continuous Improvement & Root Cause Analysis
- Lead root cause investigations for service failures, delays, and quality issues, using tools like Six Sigma, and LEAN.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions to address recurring problems.
- Develop and oversee a continuous improvement culture, training teams on best practices and problem-solving methodologies.
4. Vendor & Partner Quality Management
- Ensure that carrier partners, suppliers, and vendors meet company quality and compliance standards.
- Work with procurement and operations teams to evaluate vendor performance metrics and suggest improvements or changes as needed.
- Create service level agreements (SLAs) and enforce them through performance monitoring.
5. Customer Experience & Issue Resolution
- Act as a liaison between clients and operations, ensuring customer expectations align with service delivery.
- Establish a feedback loop with clients to gather insights and proactively address concerns.
- Lead customer complaint resolution efforts, working with account managers and operations to find sustainable solutions.
6. Training & Team Development
- Design and implement training programs for warehouse teams on quality and compliance.
- Promote a culture of accountability where employees are trained to spot and address quality issues.
- Provide coaching and mentoring where appropriate.
Skills & Qualifications Needed
- Industry Experience: Strong background in logistics, supply chain management, manufacturing or distribution. Large corporate experience is ok but also small more nimble company experience is preferred.
- Leadership & Communication: Ability to drive cultural change and get buy-in from frontline teams.
- Problem-Solving & Data Analysis: Experience with Six Sigma, Lean, or other process improvement methodologies.
- Compliance & Auditing
- Customer Focused: Ability to manage client relationships and service expectations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time, with occasional evening or weekend hours depending on operational needs.
- Warehouse environment – requires standing, walking, lifting, and other physical activities.
- May be exposed to loud noises, warehouse machinery, and outdoor elements.
