Hourly Rate: $17.00 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 2:45-5:30
Wednesdays: 1:45-5:30
Childcare experience and training are required. Must be 18 and have graduated from high school. Employees must pass a Level 2 fingerprinting/background check before the start of employment.
Employees are expected to have good attendance and be on time daily.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
The After School Activity Leader will be responsible for providing childcare for a group of around 20 students under the direction of the After School Care Coordinator.
- Effectively implement organized activities designed for elementary students. (i.e. art/craft projects, outdoor games, indoor games, etc.). Materials provided by the school.
- Provide a safe, nurturing environment that stimulates academic, moral, and social growth.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with students, parents, and others; interact respectfully with all people.
- Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
- Assist in enforcement of school rules, administrative regulations, and school policy.
- Assist students in learning to accept responsibility, demonstrate respect for people and property, and demonstrate self-discipline.
- Perform other incidental tasks consistent with the goals and objectives of this position.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- Clean up materials, clean and wipe down tables, keep areas neat and clean.
Boulware Springs Charter is a public, non-profit school located in northeast Gainesville and serves students in grades K-5.
