Hookah Staff Position Description
Overview
The Hookah Staff is responsible for preparing, maintaining, and serving hookahs while ensuring excellent guest experiences. This role requires strong knowledge of hookah preparation, attention to cleanliness, and the ability to provide prompt and friendly service in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Hookah Preparation & Service:
- Set up and prepare hookahs according to guest preferences.
- Monitor and replace charcoals regularly to maintain optimal smoke quality.
- Assist guests with hookah flavor recommendations and customizations.
- Ensure each hookah is tested for smooth airflow and functionality before serving.
Customer Service & Safety:
- Educate guests on proper hookah use and safety guidelines.
- Monitor guest behavior and report any issues or misuse.
- Verify customer age and ensure compliance with local smoking regulations.
- Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor while interacting with guests.
Cleaning & Maintenance:
- Clean and sanitize hookahs, hoses, and mouthpieces after each use.
- Maintain an organized and tidy hookah station.
- Perform routine maintenance on hookahs to ensure longevity and performance.
Inventory & Stocking:
- Restock hookah flavors, coals, hoses, and accessories as needed.
- Keep track of inventory levels and notify management of low stock.
Requirements
- Prior experience in a hookah lounge or hospitality setting preferred.
- Knowledge of hookah preparation, flavors, and maintenance.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple orders.
- Must be punctual, reliable, and a team player.
- Must be comfortable working around heat and smoke.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Must be of legal age to handle tobacco products as per local regulations.

Pay: $17.17 - $19.97 per hour
