Position: Hookah Server
Reports To: Manager/Supervisor
Shift: Varies (AM/PM)
Job Summary:
The Hookah Staff is responsible for setting up, preparing, and maintaining hookahs for guests while ensuring excellent customer service. This role requires efficiency, attention to detail, and knowledge of hookah preparation, safety, and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hookah Preparation & Service
- Prepare and set up hookahs according to customer preferences.
- Monitor and replace charcoals efficiently.
- Ensure smooth pull and quality of smoke before serving guests.
- Assist guests with flavor recommendations and customization.
- Cleaning & Maintenance
- Clean and sanitize hookahs, hoses, and bowls after each use.
- Maintain a clean and organized hookah station.
- Perform routine maintenance on hookahs to ensure optimal function.
- Customer Interaction & Safety
- Educate guests on hookah use and safety guidelines.
- Monitor guests for proper use and report any concerns to management.
- Ensure compliance with age restrictions and ID verification policies.
- Inventory & Stocking
- Restock flavors, coals, and supplies as needed.
- Inform management of low stock and equipment needs.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Prior hookah lounge or hospitality experience preferred.
- Knowledge of various hookah flavors and mixing techniques.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple orders.
- Must be punctual, reliable, and a team player.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Comfortable working around heat and smoke.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal
Pay: $10.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 34 per week
