Job Statement
This position is a key member of BouMatic’s refrigeration team and reports to the Director of Engineering & Technical Services. The Refrigeration Engineering Manager is a full-time working Manager position that will operate out of the Madison, WI office. Travel required ~15% or less.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expertise and direction on developing and maintaining refrigeration product lines, including In-Line milk chilling systems, Bulk tank coolers, heat recovery systems and the like.
- Lead and manage a small technical team for both Development and Servicing of BouMatic’s refrigeration products.
- Assist with ancillary equipment related to farm refrigeration needs, such as wash controllers and chemical feed systems.
- Create documentation for product specifications, testing procedures, operator and installation documents. Assist in creation of Schematics and Bill of materials.
- Assist in training of technical support, Sales, Dealers, and other refrigeration team members, have excellent communication skills and provide the technical leadership skills required to successfully implement new refrigeration technology.
- Maintaining a current understanding of the newest technologies & refrigerants.
- Other duties as assigned.
Technical/Job Skill Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (preferred).
- Minimum five years’ experience in refrigeration system design.
- Familiarity with Carel controls highly desirable
- Ability to conduct all business and personal affairs in a professional and ethical manner.
- Experience managing people.
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting with people of various skill levels and job responsibilities.
- A thorough understanding and background in the refrigeration industry with a proven record in design and existing system upgrade.
- Dairy background a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
