Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, sanitizing, and the general appearance of their scheduled area. The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining all regulated housekeeping and Infection Control Standards.
SCHEDULE:
- Full-time - 80 hrs per pay period; Sunday-Thursday; 5:30 am-2:00pm or Tuesday-Saturday; 5:30am-2:00pm
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/REQUIREMENTS:
- Performs adequate and thorough disinfecting and sanitizing procedures of all horizontal surfaces.
- Removes/prevents build up on the floors and around the perimeters.
- Removes biohazard and general garbage from rooms/areas according to policy.
- Performs adequate bathroom cleaning and sanitation requirements.
- Performs unit discharge cleaning appropriately and in a timely manner.
- Removes visible debris from carpeted areas when necessary.
- Maintains communication with supervisor for area and/or departmental needs or concerns.
- Uses personal protective equipment as necessary.
- Follows established room-cleaning guidelines for all areas.
Qualifications
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or GED required & Minimum of one year related work experience
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions and communicate in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- Ability to make standard precaution decisions.
- Ability to address patients, visitors, and co-workers with courtesy, pleasantness and respect.
