What are the responsibilities and job description for the Art Director position at Boundless Life Sciences Group?
Boundless Life Sciences Group is a full-service advertising agency, built from the ground up to meet the evolving needs of modern healthcare brands. We are looking for a full-time Art Director.
The primary responsibility of the Art Director is to support the creative staff in the creation of print and digital projects. This includes design, image manipulation, and comp creation. Digital responsibilities may include banner ad design and website and email layouts. The Art Director and their Copy partner also contribute to the creation of brand campaign concepts and helping more senior art directors execute comps and revisions.
Candidates should also be able to communicate easily and effectively with the clients and the creative team to understand their vision for each project, and make sure that direction is carried through all related elements. Must be able to prioritize work and collaborate with Project Management to ensure deadlines are met. Must be a self-motivated partner who can work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist art directors with layout design and revision, image search, and creation of comps
- Present work to clients and describe how the creative/design rationale delivers on the brief
- Contribute conceptual and tactical ideas on given assignments
- Assist with oversight of photoshoots and illustrations as needed
- Meet internal and external deadlines
- Work with Project Management, Studio, and Art Buying to help keep jobs within specifications and meeting client expectations
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of art direction experience in a creative agency
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic or Visual Design, Communication Design, Creative Advertising, or related field
- Portfolio of work to demonstrate conceptual thinking, skill, and competency
- Proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator. Bonus points for a deeper stack of skills
- Ability to understand and visualize scientific concepts and data
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
