Job Purpose
The Conflict Analyst is primarily responsible for the timely and accurate review and processing of New Business Intake (“NBI”) forms and the production of conflicts of interest checks for incoming matters to the Firm.
Salary range : $27.00 – $29.00 / hr.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough, time-sensitive research and data analysis on the Firm's new business to minimize risk and identify potential ethical or business-related conflicts of interest with current and prospective clients.
- Prepare reports and summaries of research for attorney review, assessing identified conflicts and determining the level of risk involved.
- Coordinate with attorneys and staff to verify the accuracy and completeness of conflict reports and other due diligence, ensuring informed decisions can be made regarding the acceptance of new business.
- Ensure Conflict of Interest Waivers are obtained if required.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all conflict assessments and resolutions.
- Carefully, accurately and in a timely manner, review and process all new NBI submissions for new and existing clients (including generating conflicts reports, conducting any required corporate research on the listed parties to the submission, resolving any noted data entry errors / omissions in the NBI forms).
- Collaborate with attorneys, staff and the Firm's Time and Billing Department to ensure that the Client Database is regularly updated for accurate invoice addresses and billing methods.
- Responsible for routine maintenance of NBI Forms.
- Maintain and update procedure manual.
- Additional projects / duties as assigned.
