Company Information:
Bousum LLC. is a waste hauling company that specializes in the transportation of municipal solid waste, C/D, and recyclables; from transfer stations and manufacturing facilities to landfills and incinerators in the northeast.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Assist in the loading of 100 yard open top trailers with municipal solid waste, construction, demolition debris and recyclables
- Operators experienced with Bobcat Telehandler, Wheel Loader (CAT 950)
- Must be able to operate heavy equipment in compliance with the company’s operating safety policies and procedures
- Conducts routine equipment inspections and performs preventative maintenance on equipment; maintains accurate records
- Reports any maintenance needs or equipment malfunction to appropriate supervisor and maintenance personnel
- Follows appropriate standard operating procedures as guideline for operating and maintaining vehicle
- Sorting of materials
- Switching, litter control and, greasing
- Ensure trucks and trailers are secure and in working order
- Help with tarping operation
- Performs other duties as assigned
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Operate heavy equipment in a safe and effective manner to minimize the risk of injury, property damage or loss of life.
MAIN ACTIVITIES:
- Operate all heavy equipment in a safe and efficient way per all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
- Perform daily safety and maintenance checks
- Clean heavy equipment as scheduled and/or required
- Ensure heavy equipment is safely and securely stored
- Advise the Supervisor of any requirements for maintenance or repairs
- Participate in routine maintenance
- Practice workplace safety
- Complete all paperwork
KNOWLEDGE OF:
- Safety regulations and precautions pertaining to vehicle use
- Safe and proper use of assigned equipment and tools
JOB DESCRIPTION REQUIREMENTS:
- Understand and follow instructions from supervisors

- Report to work on time and as scheduled
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Work is performed outdoors.
- Operator occasionally works past normal office hours to complete assignments
- The Heavy Equipment Operator has a physically strenuous and demanding job. He/she will be lifting, pulling, and managing heavy equipment and objects
- The Heavy Equipment Operator must work in all weather and must be prepared for both extreme heat and cold
- The Heavy Equipment Operator must ensure that all activities are completed in a safe and efficient way
- Minor maintenance of machinery (checking all fluids, greasing all fittings, changing filters, and fueling at the end of the workday)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Class A preferred buy not necessary
- Previously worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for a minimum of 2 years
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Pass hands on maneuvering and loading
- Valid Driver's License and Reliable Transportation
- Must be able to work M-F and every other Saturday starting at 6:30am

Pay: $85,000.00 per year
