Job Overview
Bout Time Pub and Grub, West Jordan located in Jordan Landing is seeking an experienced and driven Bartender/server to join our awesome team, who also has shift managing experience or is wanting to grow and learn. The ideal candidate will have a passion for making fun cocktails and providing exceptional customer service, creating memorable experiences for all our Fans, as well as help coach servers so we have an overall exceptional team!
The bartender occupies one of the most integral functions in the bar. Your main task will be delivering an exceptional experience to Bout Time Fans. You are responsible for taking orders, making beverages for all bar top guests, serving beverages, up selling, and building repeat clientele. Beyond that, you are expected to use your skill, knowledge, and personality to provide an experience that exceeds all expectations. You will work as a team with other bartenders to engage with Fans in a friendly manner. You will utilize proven sales techniques to enhance the Fan experience, up sell food and drinks to increase sales and your personal tips and make all drinks rang in by servers, so speed, efficiency and multitasking are a must!!
Additional responsibilities and requirements:
- Keep Co-proprietor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual situations that may arise and takes prompt corrective action where necessary.
- All actions must be taken with the guests’ best interests in mind to continue to build new business and exceed customer expectations.
- Maintains responsibility for all financial transactions behind the bar and end of day deposits. This includes closing out servers for the day and running day end reports.
- Coach servers and answer all bar drink related questions.
- Opening and closing duties as assigned.
- Daily deep cleaning to keep our bar sparkling clean.
- Keep bar and bar area spotless.
- Work as a team with other bartenders, staff, and management.
- Prepare all drinks consistently and according to recipe.
- Perform side work to set up you and your team for success.
- Perform additional task that may be asked of by Management.
- Must be 21 years of age.
- SIPS/TIPS & Food Handlers license required.
- alcohol knowledge
- Ability to attend to multiple people at a time and adapt quickly.
- Be ready to have fun and work hard at the same time.
- 5 years of Bartending/serving experience or managing a bar required.
Open PM availability is preferred, Thursday- Monday PM availability required!
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $500.00 - $1,500.00 per week
Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
