Associate

A growing company in the financial services industry is seeking a highly motivated Associate to join its team in Chicago, Illinois. In this hybrid role, the Associate will support the firm’s investment strategy by conducting market research, performing financial modeling to assess potential acquisitions, and analyzing due diligence materials. Responsibilities include preparing investment reports and presentations, maintaining capitalization tables, collaborating with portfolio company leadership on strategic initiatives, and assisting in deal execution and board meetings. The ideal candidate has 2-3 years of experience in financial operations, investment banking, transaction advisory, or accounting, with strong financial modeling skills and the ability to build and maintain professional relationships. The right candidate will thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000 / year DOE

Associate Responsibilities

• Conduct market research and financial modeling to assess potential acquisitions
• Collect and analyze financial data, including due diligence materials from legal teams
• Assist in preparing annual reports, decks, and investment memos
• Develop and maintain capitalization tables
• Collaborate with portfolio company leadership to support strategic initiatives
• Participate in board meetings and assist in deal execution
• Work closely with firm leadership to ensure alignment on investment strategies
  
  

Associate Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required (Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field preferred)
• 2-3 years of experience in financial operations, investment banking, transaction advisory, or accounting
• Strong financial modeling skills and experience with capital tables
• Ability to build and maintain professional relationships
• Experience creating presentations and investment materials
• Highly analytical with strong attention to detail
