Civil Litigation Attorney

A well-established legal services firm in York, Pennsylvania, is seeking a Civil Litigation Attorney to join their team. This hybrid role will involve managing a diverse caseload, including motor accident claims, construction cases, and complex civil defense litigation. Key responsibilities include preparing motions, handling discovery, conducting legal research, and representing clients in court. This role will be involved with all aspects of a case from initial client interviews through to resolution, providing strategic legal advice and ensuring timely submission of critical documents. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in civil litigation, possess strong organizational skills, and demonstrate the ability to effectively handle multiple cases in a fast-paced environment.

Civil Litigation Attorney Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of civil defense litigation cases of varying complexity
• Draft pleadings, conduct written discovery, take depositions, and manage all aspects of case discovery
• Prepare and argue motions, including motions for summary judgment
• Represent clients in court appearances and proceedings
• Collaborate with partners and associates to develop case strategies and achieve favorable
• Maintain billable hour requirements
  
  

Civil Litigation Attorney Requirements

• Admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar
• 3 years of civil litigation experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and legal document preparation
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Trial experience and federal court admission are a plus but not required
