- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including production reports and financial reporting
- Oversee month-end close process and ensure compliance with US GAAP
- Collaborate with President and COO to prepare and monitor the annual and departmental budgets
- Work with banks and bonding companies to report financial progress and project status
- Manage general liability and employee health insurance, understanding financial risks
- Maintain accounting policies and procedures and innovate processes to achieve department goals
- Collaborate with company leaders to ensure the accounting team evolves with business growth
- 5-7 years of accounting experience in the civil construction industry
- Strong understanding of WIP (Work in Progress)
- Experience with Word and Excel
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- Ability to manage and mentor an accounting team
- Solid analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to drive results and continuous improvement
- Experience with ERP software
