Director Of Sales & Marketing Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy to expand the company’s presence in commercial markets
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities while nurturing existing client relationships
- Leverage industry connections and past customers to generate leads and drive revenue growth
- Work closely with existing leadership and sales personnel to streamline processes and optimize sales efforts
- Monitor inventory and proactively target sales opportunities for excess stock
- Lead business development initiatives, cold-calling prospects, and networking within the industry
- Provide insights and guidance on potential custom solutions and market trends
- Establish KPIs and sales goals, tracking performance and making data-driven recommendations
- 5 years of sales experience in the wire and cable industry
- Proven track record of success in business development and revenue growth
- Strong existing network of industry contacts and ability to leverage relationships for sales opportunities
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight while demonstrating a strong work ethic
- Experience with lead generation and client prospecting; comfort with cold-calling and networking
- Strong negotiation and closing skills
- No degree requirement—industry experience is prioritized over formal education
- Existing customer base or strong industry relationships is a plus
- Experience selling to both commercial and government clients
- Ability to implement or recommend CRM tools for sales tracking is preferred
