Employment & Labor Associate Responsibilities
- Defend clients in employment cases, managing discovery and drafting motions
- Take and defend depositions, providing strategic case management
- Represent clients in hearings and trials, offering legal counsel and support
- Collaborate with partners and senior associates on case strategies and defense
- Manage a portfolio of employment law cases, ensuring client satisfaction and effective resolutions
- Assist in mentoring junior associates, promoting teamwork and growth
- Contribute to firm initiatives and business development efforts within the employment law department
- 4 years of experience in defending employment-related cases
- Must be licensed to practice law in Missouri
- Strong experience in labor and employment law, particularly litigation
- Ability to manage cases independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficient in iManage or willingness to quickly learn new systems
- Strong initiative and work ethic, with a desire to grow within a team-oriented firm
