A family-owned custom packaging solutions company, is seeking a skilled Printing Press Operator to join their growing team. Operating a six-color Heidelberg offset printing press, this role is pivotal to ensuring the production of high-quality printed materials. Key responsibilities include machine setup, preventive maintenance, and monitoring color quality using advanced measurement tools. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with offset printing presses, a strong understanding of color management, and a passion for delivering excellent results in a collaborative, supportive environment.

Printing Press Operator Responsibilities

• Operate and manage a six-color Heidelberg offset printing press
• Perform machine setups, including startup, calibration, and adjustments
• Load paper and oversee production to ensure quality standards are met
• Utilize color measurement tools to maintain thickness and consistency
• Record production information using computer systems
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance, including oil changes, air filter replacements, and cleaning
• Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and resolve issues
  
  

Printing Press Operator Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience operating offset printing presses
• Strong understanding of color management tools and techniques
• Basic computer skills for data entry and production tracking
• Ability to work onsite in a 4-day, 10-hour shift schedule
• Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and teamwork
• Familiarity with systems like Nexus Workflow, ArtPro Power Stepper, and Adobe Creative Suite
