Senior Project Manager Responsibilities
- Lead 3–4 ground-up commercial construction projects, ensuring quality, timeline, and budget goals are met
- Oversee and mentor a team of 2–3 project managers and assist with RFIs, submittals, and schedule updates
- Conduct regular job site visits and manage project milestones with accountability
- Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to maintain clear communication and resolve issues
- Attend and lead project meetings, providing status updates and addressing challenges proactively
- Implement and utilize construction management software, including Procore and Bluebeam, as needed
- Foster a positive, results-driven team culture, emphasizing mentoring, problem-solving, and creative solutions
- 10–20 years of project management experience with a general contractor specializing in ground-up construction
- Expertise in commercial construction, including pre-engineering buildings, structural steel, wood frames, and cast-in-place concrete
- Experience with GSFIC managed projects is a plus
- Experience in correctional/detention market is a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Proven supervisory experience with a track record of managing and mentoring younger project managers & assistant project managers
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to oversee multiple large-scale projects
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field is preferred
- Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, and P6 scheduling software is a plus
