Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Glazier/Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing glass in various structures, including windows, doors, and stained-glass windows. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work with precision in a construction environment. The Glazier/Installer will collaborate with other tradespeople and ensure that all installations meet safety standards and client specifications.
Responsibilities
- Install glass in windows, doors, and other structures according to specifications.
- Measure and cut glass to fit various openings using hand tools and power tools.
- Assemble and install frames, fixtures, and hardware as needed.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine installation requirements.
- Fabricate custom glass pieces as required for specific projects.
- Perform repairs on existing glass installations, ensuring structural integrity.
- Collaborate with carpenters and other construction professionals on-site.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Lift heavy materials as needed during installation processes.
Skills
- Strong ability to use hand tools effectively for cutting and shaping glass.
- Experience with blueprint reading and understanding construction schematics.
