ROLE OVERVIEW: As a Healthcare Project Manager at Bowa Construction, you will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of high-caliber healthcare facility projects. This role is pivotal, requiring a keen balance of organization, regulatory understanding, and strategic oversight to ensure each project is completed on time, within budget, and with the utmost regard for healthcare-specific standards. This role will also ensure that all work complies with safety standards, adheres to schedule requirements, and is constructed to the highest quality while staying within budget. As a hands-on position, it will lead communication efforts for both internal and external project reporting and be responsible for effectively managing the project team.
Specific proven Construction Healthcare Project Management experience is mandatory for this role.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Construction Project Manager will oversee the entire building process, ensuring that all work complies with safety standards, adheres to schedule requirements, and meets the highest quality benchmarks within the budget provided. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to not only coordinate but also actively participate in the building process, ensuring successful project execution from start to finish.
Project Leadership:
- Oversee all project phases, ensuring adherence to healthcare regulations and client expectations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact, facilitating clear communication with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Mentor and lead project teams, fostering collaboration and alignment with project objectives.
Regulatory and Quality Compliance:
- Ensure that all work aligns with healthcare construction standards, including infection control, patient safety, and facility accessibility, demonstrating expertise in healthcare construction practices.
- Identify and proactively mitigate risks, addressing safety hazards and ensuring regulatory compliance specific to the construction healthcare sector.
- Incorporate sustainable building practices when applicable, such as experience with LEED-certified projects.
- Maintain high standards of quality control and safety by adhering to both industry standards and healthcare-specific requirements.
Budget and Timeline Management:
- Develop, track, and manage project budgets, schedules, and resources, achieving on-time and within-budget project delivery.
- Oversee budget forecasting, prepare monthly financial reporting, and project billing to the client.
- Ensure timely completion of project closeout processes, including final inspections, punch list resolution, and documentation.
Preconstruction and Bidding:
- Support preconstruction services by preparing cost estimates, defining scopes of work, and developing preliminary schedules.
- Lead development of bid packages and review subcontractor bids, ensuring clear, accurate bid clarifications.
- Develop and execute project buy-out strategy, negotiating and issuing subcontractor agreements.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Manage the preparation, tracking, and submission of project documentation, including submittals, change orders, RFIs, and closeout documentation.
- Lead project meetings and maintain meeting notes, issuing minutes and status reports to keep stakeholders informed.
- Collaborate with the Preconstruction team to ensure budget compliance and cost control measures are in place.
