What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Clinic Technician position at Bowen Health?
The person in our entry level healthcare worker position will be responsible for assisting the nurse in preparing charts for medication clinics, managing flow of clients, and assisting with telephone calls.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist nurse with various clinic duties, including:
o Phone calls
o Chart preparation
o Patient medication assistance process
o Medication education materials
o Prior authorization for medications
o Managing the referral process - Obtain vital signs at each medication appointment and document accurately and timely in the EMR.
- Track and log equipment maintenance documentation.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required. Medical Assistant Certification or Certified Nursing Assistant Certification preferred.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
