Responsibilities
· Plan and prepare tax returns for individuals.
· Plan/prepare other tax compliance services as directed including trust returns and income tax extensions
· Scan and file tax documents into software for review.
· Become familiar with and effectively utilize software in assigned areas.
· Communicate concise and accurate project status updates to supervisors, managers, and partners.
Key Objectives
· Approach daily responsibilities with the Bowers mission and client centric philosophy in mind.
· Learn the tax return process: information gathering, client follow-up, preparation, and completion.
· Develop the ability to identify, understand, and address accounting issues.
· Strengthen written and verbal communication skills with clients and colleagues.
· Actively participate in firm outings and activities as able.
Qualifications
· Active enrollment and a major in Accounting, Business, or Finance
· Interest in pursuing a career in public accounting
· Preferably pursuing the 150-credit hour academic requirement towards CPA eligibility
· Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Hours: Open based on college schedules
Pay: $20.00-$30.00/hour
